Oklahoma State Parks are kicking off a special promotion to say "thank you" to U.S. troops both past and present. Now through February 28, 2011, active or retired military, as well as veterans are eligible for a 25 percent discount off of lodge rooms and cabin stays at any Oklahoma state park.
This discount is valid any day of the week, including weekends, based on availability and is redeemable at all five state park lodges, plus more than 300 newly renovated cabins statewide.
"This is a small way we can say thank you and show our support of the men, women and their families who give so much to our country," said Hardy Watkins, executive director, Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department. "We hope it provides an opportunity for well-deserved rest and relaxation to people who give us all so much.
